Last Friday Mommy took off work and the four of us headed to the Chicago area for a family wedding. On the way, we met Grandma, Pa, Stephanie and Carlos at Fair Oaks Farm in Indiana. It was a large farm with over 200 births per day, we even got to see a bull be born. We ended that visit with ice cream, thanks to Grandma and Pa- yummy! Just our family drove from there to downtown Chicago where we stayed in a swanky hotel mom booked on priceline for a great day- too bad that get you with the parking. We ate dinner at a nice pizza joint and settled in for the night. The next day we woke-up to rainy weather and upset stomachs, we suspect food poisoning but we managed to have a great time at the Children's Museum, riding a water taxi, and seeing Millenium Park before heading to the Wheaton area for the wedding. During our nap was when both of the kids got sick, but we still went to the wedding and had a great time. It turned out to be a beautiful day and it was nice catching up with Chris' extended family. Madelyn had a ball "dancing" and walking around, while Nolan chased little girls and loved the cupcake and ice cream. After we got back to the hotel it was a long night of illness and a dreaded 6 hour drive home, thank goodness Daddy was feeling better.
