One Week Old Tomorrow

Wow, we cannot believe it has been one week already. After our hospital stay, it was nice to be home with Nolan again. Nolan continues to see Ms. Heidi and his friends during the day, which has allowed Mommy and Daddy to bond with Madelyn and rest. We had our first pediatrician visit on Wednesday and Madelyn was back up to her birth weight 7 lbs 15 oz and they measured her length to be 20 3/4 inches. She did not like the exam, probably because she was naked which is usually when she becomes alert. However, her jaundice is fading and she continues to eat and sleep well. Nolan enjoys saying good morning to her when he wakes up, searching the house for her when he gets home, and kissing good night at bedtime. He has held her a few times-check out the adorable pictures of him and Madelyn. He especially likes when her eyes are open and he rubs her head. He is learning his limits with her and we keep him highly supervised.
