Broerman Campout

Jason and Andrea's family moved last fall into a beautiful home with a pond and a great woods. So the Broerman clan camped out there a few weekends ago. This was our kids first camping experience. They loved sitting around the fire and cooking different goodies: pizzas, smores, cherry pies and doughboys. We had to warn them about getting too close to the fire, but they did well.
We also enjoyed swimming in the pond, Nolan loved the water and Madelyn played in the beach area. On Friday night Nolan, Daddy and I slept in the tent, while Madelyn slept with Aunt Jodi inside. Speaking of which, Madelyn has decided she does not want to sleep in a pack n play when traveling, so that means she is probably close to wanting out of her crib soon:( she is growing up so fast.
On Saturday night we enjoyed riding on the new 4 wheelers through a path that Drew and Jason created through their woods. And the big boys (dads) were racing when it went a little to far and a 4 wheeler axel broke, so the fun was over. Then we enjoyed a great fireworks show and made last minute goodies before the storm hit. We slept inside since the forecast looked bad, Uncle Keith was the only one that weathered the storm in his tent. Thanks to Jason and Andrea for a great time. Looking forward to it again next year.
