This is the first sport that Nolan has tried in an organized team. The first game was rained out, the next game we sat in traffic for over 1 1/2 hours and we missed practice and the game. Finally on May 30th we made it. The structure is designed well for the 3-5 year olds. They have practice for 30 mins and then a "game" for 30 minutes. The kids get to practice "fielding" the ball and throwing it to first, then they practice hitting and catching in the grassy area. The dads assist with practice and Chris does a fabulous job with all of the kids. Then a game consists of the first team each kid hitting the ball and running to one base as each consecutively batter hits. Then the other team does the same thing and the game is over- which takes almost the whole 30 minutes. It is hilarous watching ALL of the kids run after the ball. It is very cute. I have videotaped it on our main videocamera, but will try to get some short clips to post on the blog next week. His games are Monday nights at either 5:30pm or 6:30pm, so everyone is welcomed to come.
