Combined Doctor Visit=NIGHTMARE

I thought it was great that Nolan's 2 year old check-up and Madelyn's 4 month old check-up would allow me to take both kids to the pediatrician at the same time. It turned out not to be that great, because Nolan was grumpy most of the time. He enjoyed playing in the lobby, and then when we were in the exam room he began going through drawers and pulling stuff out. When I told him to stop he of course got mad! Soon Nurse Kim came in and had him stand on the special scale to take his weight and measure his height, he loved this and of course continued to play with the gadgets. He did fine during his actual check-up with the Dr Klinger, but was very impatient during Madelyn's visit and was screaming, crying, etc. He wanted to climb back onto the table. Madelyn did great, and was her happy self until Nurse Kim gave her a shot each leg. Which then was followed up with me holding Nolan down while he got his flu shot, this also ended in crying. The best news is we have to do it all over again with Nolan in 2 weeks because they miscalculated the date for his 2nd Hepatitis B shot- Daddy will probably be taking Nolan!!!! -New milestone for Madelyn, she is now able to put her feet into her mouth!
Stats:
Nolan= 36 3/4 inches and weighed 32.4 lbs (95-97th percentile height, 90th percentile weight)
Madelyn= 25 inches and weighed 14 lbs 12 ounces (75th percentile for both)
